A1cwise.com Diabetes Program

A woman purchased my program recently and sent me an email saying how she had no idea a “carb-centric” diet was causing her blood sugars to constantly be elevated.

She expressed that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 16 and had gained about 10 pounds each year. She wanted to stop the trend so she decided to buy the program and make a change.

After just one week she was experiencing improved blood sugars and is excited to continue with the program.

The reason I share this with you is,1 to encourage you to make a change and 2, to remind myself that nothing is obvious to the uninformed.

Because I eat, live, sleep and breathe my type 1 diabetes program I can get caught in assuming that everyone has the same knowledge I do about how carbohydrates, exercise, alcohol, emotions and other factors that impact our blood sugars, weight and ability to successfully manage our type 1 diabetes.

But the truth is, not everyone does know. There is a lot of misinformation out there and it is up to each of us individually to educate ourselves and do whatever we need to drop those extra pounds and get our blood sugars and A1c levels under control.

I’ve written about it before as it is the foundation of my program.

Carbohydrates are not your friend when you are looking to lose weight and get your blood sugars under control.

I don’t think you need to eliminate them totally, but being very aware of how many and what kinds you are eating is one of the most important things you can do to begin to take care of yourself.

The number of insulin units you need at a meal is directly related to the number of carbohydrates you are going to consume. So it makes perfect sense that if you are eating a diet with a high percentage of carbs  in it, you are taking more insulin than you would if you were sticking to a diet of protein and veggies.

This creates more inflammation in the body and hinders your ability to drop weight and keep it off.

Try cutting back on the carbohydrates you eat. I know you’ll be amazed at the results.

When I started to be aware of my carbohydrate intake and actively cut back, my blood sugars dramatically improved immediately, the amount of insulin I needed diminished immediately and eventually the weight begin to come off.

I’ve been doing my program since June and I have lost and kept over 20 pounds off and my blood sugars are better than they have ever been. I feel healthy, look healthy and have a formula that I know will keep me on track.

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes for you….
